dying.

So I was taking a break (procrastinating) and I came across this again.

I haven't said this before, but I am extremely picky with the games I play, mostly art-wise but character-wise too. Most of the time I go straight for the kuudere, then the tsundere and then the playboy / arrogant / evil guy. yea. :$ hahahah.
can't wait til the english patch is completed so I can replay and fully comprehend everything. yay !

GREE REVIEW; Ninja Love and My Sweet Bodyguard

Alright, so I finally got around to reviewing these two games, and first things first, I'm rather disappointed in both.
You see a lot of their problems lie in similar aspects, and this, I am concluding, is because they are both hosted through GREE. So I will blame GREE, for ruining two perfectly acceptable games because they would have been good, if it weren't for these problems.

So first the problems they both have in common.
One: Once again, that problem that we've all been over, the stupid, annoying energy system. So tedious, so tiring. It wears me down until sometimes I just can't be bothered anymore. And on the days that I forget, I get so mad. ):

Two: GREE coins. So expensive for so little.
I think I've spent like, $50 AU on just two hairs, eyes, closet space and a Joshua message card. Really, it's kinda not worth it.

Three: Omg. So light. Omg. I cannot even start with how annoying both games are with their laginess. Like, on box of text takes time to load, which causes me to tap on the screen repeatedly, which then causes me to miss dialogue. Asdfghjkl. Why.

At first I thought it was just unlucky me but then I asked some friends and it happened to them to so apparently not.

Now there are some individual problems I have with the games.
For Ninja love, it's the crazy format, and the notifications. It makes me annoyed when I'm shopping something important and a notification screaming about energy or something pops up. Not cool. Can't be bothered playing this on GREE since I've already played it all on the normal version.

For My Sweet Bodyguard, it had to be the animations and the deteriorated quality of artwork. It doesn't look like it's up to Voltage's normal standard. I can't decide on a favourite character in the game cause I don't even connect with any of them. THEY DON'T LOOK 'BISHIE' ENOUGH. ):

Anyway to end off with a good note, I guess the games aren't that bad. I'm just a hater so I decided to rant about my peeves on two games I would have otherwise loved.


My Sweet Bodyguard : So the story is that you're a normal girl working at some fair / amusement park and one day, while you were dressed up as a bunny handing balloons out to kids some guy comes and tries to kidnap you for reasons unbeknownst to yourself. Then, M16 / CIA / FBI or Japan's version of them, comes to save you, secret agents, guns ablazing, armed choppers, swinging ladders. The like. THEN, you are flown to the 'White House' (Or Japan's equivalent) where you meet the president of Japan.
And you discover that you're his daughter. GASP. I did NOT see that coming...
Yea, then you choose who you want to be your bodyguard, and thus your adventure begins...

SOLID ENGLISH SKILLS.

There's something off with the art..

Characters only look good in the CGs. ):

ooooooh. epic.

There is also Gacha and a 'Party' system in MSB, except this is called 'Guard'.

Bonus Event

Not going tot really go in depth with Ninja Love (Unless someone asks for me too) because from what I've played, the prologue is the same, and the storylines relatively similar.

Loving that there are so many spin offs though. However, you have to pay for them all. ):

Finally got around to posting this. Finished the actual game in only hours, the very week it was released. But I kept putting this post off for some reason.. hm..

But before I start I'd like to say - I KNEW HE WOULD BE THE F1 RACER. I predicted it. Really.
(On another note, I really should change the blog's name to kuudere, since kuudere > tsundere, but the-tsundere sounds / looks better... ):  )

Ichinose Ren -Girlish Love Revo

Definately tsundere, ahhhh, words cannot explain.

He's cute, and the dialogue you have with him is adorable, the small encouragements he gives you while you lose weight.

Tachibana Kennosuke -Girlish Love Revo

The only downside to him is that he's younger than you. )':

But,

a) He's an awkward, misunderstood kuudere.

b) His sisters are awesome

c) He's all gangsta but doesn't want to be

d) He's just really cool.

Tendou Jin - Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side First Love

Ahhhhhhh ! The bad boy of the game.

I loved him so much, even though he wasn't exactly kuudere or tsundere.

Hazuki Kei - Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side First Love

This guy. Was annoyingly difficult to get.

WHY MUST YOU HAVE NEEDS FOR SUCH HIGH PARAMETERS ??

Failed the first two times I tried to get him. Sadlyf. )':

But apart from his hair which is a little weird (It's like there are two handlebars on the side of his head) he is awesomely awesome. (AND he's a model)

Sakurai Ruka -Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side 3rd Story

I. can't. even. Another character that doesn't fit into either of the tsundere or kuudere characteristics but I still love. 

Sakurai Koichi- Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side 3rd Story

It was so hard deciding between the brothers (above) but then I though why can't I just put both ?

So I did. Between their badassery, their good looks, combat skills (cause that's hot.), I'm really both glad, and heartbroken, that the love triangle system was added. (It's really really hard to break any bishies heart. )': ) I did go for Koichi first though. :D

Shibasaki Ren -My Forged Wedding

Omg, awkward, clueless but sneaky-deep-down-inside kuudere's are the best. Really.

Prince Joshua Leiben -Be My Princess for GREE

Tsundere characters always make me warm and fuzzy inside. It's the change I tell you. The change they go through as they come to love you. eeeeeee !

Kirigakure Saizo -Shall We Date: Ninja Love

As I said before, skilled combatants are really attractive. Saizo is skilled. Very much so. And mean.

But then, the ice cold prison around his heart is melted by your warmth and he becomes all fluffy and sweet. Not really but he is still a pretty amazing character.

Fuma Kotaro -Shall we date: Ninja Love

Aaaw, my poor, emotionally constipated, emo Kotaro was so sweet. :'3

Always putting his life on the life to save you.. and dat. love. in. his. eyes.

Need I say more ?

Hajime Saito -Hakuoki- Demons of the Fleeting Blossoms

Only recently started playing this game, but I can very safely say that this guy reaches my favourites list. Easily. He reminds me, lookswise at least, of Saizo from Ninja Love (and namewise)

 Chikage Kazama -Hakuoki- Demons of the fleeting Blossoms
Haven't played his route next, but definitely going for him next. Although he's depicted as the bad guy, I see past all of that and see the loneliness he hides within. 8)
So, I'm putting him here cause he will be here given I like him so much already. Heheh.

As you can see, a lot of my favourite double up in games. (Two favourites from each of Love Revo, Tokimeki 1 and 3, Ninja Love and Hakuoki) I don't know, I think it's because when a game is good, most of the characters turn out to be really good too.

Ok. Now that this is done, I think I need to get back to real life or I will become depressed.

Why can't guys like this exist ?! Such a cruel world. </3
